Gerald T. Murphy, Jr.
Gerald Murphy is an associate of the firm and has focused his practice on insurance defense litigation for more than a decade. Mr. Murphy has devoted his career to the defense of hospitals and physicians involved in medical malpractice claims. He has also defended veterinarians in malpractice and New York State Office of Professional Discipline licensing claims. In his broad-based legal practice, Mr. Murphy has also litigated complex construction accident cases, as well as defended various municipalities, hospitals, school districts, and the Roman Catholic Diocese in general liability matters. Mr. Murphy has also successfully argued before the Appellate Divisions of the First and Second Departments.
Mr. Murphy received his undergraduate degree from the State University at Stony Brook in 1998. Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctorate from Touro Law School in 2001. He was admitted to the New York State Bar and to the USDC, Eastern District in 2002. He is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, as well as the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.
